Our History
Under the ancestral protection of the Guachichil people, Cerro de San Pedro witnessed the birth of its history.
From the gold and silver discovered in 1592, a legacy of abundance flourished beneath its skies. As the treasure of its mines was exhausted,
the town vanished into mystery, becoming a guardian of time.
Today, we open the doors of this historic corner
so that you may discover that the true wealth of this place lives on in its landscapes and in its descendants.
The Legacy of
Our Ancestors
The walls that shelter you today were not built to be a restaurant;
they were erected over many years with great effort to be a home. This house belonged to our ancestors, miners from San Luis Potosí
who dedicated their lives to working in the depths of this earth. Here laughter was shared, the wood-burning stove was stoked to nourish not only the body but the soul, and rest was found after long days in the tunnels and mines that brought abundance not only to the town, but to the entire state of San Luis Potosí. Here a family was formed with deep roots of commitment, dedication, and love. This corner holds its own mystery, safeguarded by childhood stories that defy time. The family legend of four brothers—in whom our roots lie—tells that, in those years, between the stone walls, the echo of a miner's pick could be heard working at night, accompanied by the enigmatic ticking of an invisible clock. It was even said that a mystical being (perhaps a witch) used to perch upon the ancient mesquite tree that now adorns our terrace. Every stone and every corner of this place safeguards the memory of those times of mining boom. Maintaining this property from generation to generation has been our greatest pride, and today we open it for you.
